Quinton Xaivier is a Detroit-based writer-director and founder of Bad Breed Media & Film LLC. Drawing from a background in comics, music, and over fifteen years of professional production experience, he creates character-driven stories rooted in Black American identity and built for international audiences—exploring love, belonging, and the cost of becoming.
A recipient of the NATAS Student Emmy for Best Direction for his short film Runaway Horses, Xaivier also directed the documentary short Richy: Point Guard, which premiered at the Ann Arbor Film Festival in 2026. His cinematography has appeared in video installations at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, while his commercial work includes projects for Litepanels and Videndum and a self-produced Versace spec campaign.
His current narrative project, The Woman Without Mercy, is a supernatural social-horror short adapted from John Keats's 1819 poem La Belle Dame sans Merci. Set in present-day Detroit, the film explores the self-destructive cycle of pursuit and desire. The project is currently in post-production.
