Quinton Xaivier is a Detroit-based writer-director and founder of Bad Breed Media & Film LLC. Drawing from a background in comics, music, and over fifteen years of professional production experience, he creates character-driven stories rooted in Black American identity and built for international audiences—exploring love, belonging, and the cost of becoming.
A recipient of the NATAS Student Emmy for Best Direction, his short film Runaway Horses announced a filmmaker with a precise visual language and a gift for psychological intimacy. His documentary short Richy: Point Guard premiered at the Ann Arbor Film Festival in 2026. His cinematography has been featured in video installations at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, and his commercial work includes a directorial showcase for Litepanels and Videndum alongside a self-produced Versace spec campaign.
He is currently developing The Woman Without Mercy—a supernatural social horror adaptation of La Belle Dame Sans Merci, an 1819 poem by John Keats, set in present-day Detroit. The short film explores the self-destructive cycle of pursuit and desire.
